Historical Museum

Please visit the Marinette County Historical Museum to experience artifacts relevant to Northeast Wisconsin, specially to the city of Marinette.  Conveniently located just off the HWY 41 Interstate Bridge, our historical museum is open to the public throughout the summer months at a cost of $3 for adults, $1 for teens, and free admission for children age 12 and under.  Look for the Clydesdale horses pulling a load of logs!

Expand your knowledge through our many exhibits and themed collections, featuring Menominee Indian culture and “Queen Marinette,” farm implements, lumber era, Issac Stephenson, musical instruments, military items, and the Evancheck log homestead.  Our facilities are wheelchair-accessible, with free parking for cars, buses, and RVs.  Group visits can be arranged as well, by calling ahead to book a tour in season.

In 2013, an exciting addition to our main building added several authentic pieces of sawmill and ice cutting equipment to our historical displays.
